***EDITED POST*** - I delved into the dodgy area of politics with my original post - apologies to everyone its a subject I normally steer clear of on open forums.

I will stick to my usual trivia in future.

Cheers

Andy.

Thanks for that.
Born in the early '60s, I can well remember it all....and by Christ do I mourn its passing Sad
I know it's easy to look back on "old times" through rose-tinted specs, but when I look at what's happening these days i really DO despair sometimes. I certainly wouldn't have any more children... Crying or Very sad

The fact was our parents were all mean ************ who didn't care what we got up to so long as it didn't cost them anything. Till 8 yo I lived at a sugar mill town, and we didn't even wear shoes, how cheap was that! We learnt to make our own fun but took lots of risks and often ended up in the emergency ward.

Great days.

When I were a lad Mother would send me down to the local shop with sixpence and I would get a sack of potatoes, a leg of ham, a tray of eggs, 6 bottles of beer and 20 Woodbines and still take money back home.

You can't do that today....................too many surveillance cameras. Cool Cool Cool Cool Cool Cool

As an early 60's child I dispair of today's world and worry for what my children are going to face the posting was amusing but also a sad reflection of the society we now live in.

Pah, you're all juveniles.

You are not old unless you have queued with a ration book, had a bath in a tin bath that hangs on a nail on an outside wall and when your only toilet is a bucket and chuck it down the bottom of the garden. Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

Well I never had a bath in a tin bath but I still empty my toilet down the bottom of the garden.
