I am looking for any information of 990 4wd and 12004wd. I believe both are fairly rare tractors. We have both models and are restored to excellent condition. Any info appreciated

Thanks

Could you be a bit more specific. What info are you looking for?

Just any general history of them really as they seem to be a bit of a rarity. I have attached a pic of the 990 as we bought it, its now restored to show condition with a full rebuild although we are struggling to get the hubs on the front axle to hold the oil!
Also attached is a pic of the 1200 with a db plough on the back playing, the tractor is work in progress with all mechanicals restored, just waiting for the tin work to be done and resprayed

There were 3 models that were fitted with the Italian Selene front axle, 880,990 and 1200. These were not an actual production off the assembly line, they were an option that was offered. If the customer required 4WD then he would order it through his dealer who would then specify it to the factory who would then build the tractor with the axle to order. As you know, parts for these axles are hard to obtain but Ford also fitted these axles prior to Roadless front axles. I have been told that some parts are still available from New Holland.
